Fake it Till You Make it

Okay, so I gained 4 pounds overnight.  So, it’s not the end of the world.  It could be muscle, even tho i don’t look any different, or it could be water, and yes, it could be fat.  I have allowed myself to stew about this for 4 hours now and it’s time to get positive and get over it!!!!  I have still continued to walk daily and watch my diet.  So, I may lose out on one of my challenges for gaining weight, it is not a big deal!!!  I figure I can sit here and feel bad all day, wasting a beautiful day, or i can just get over it and start taking action and make it the best day I can.  I am choosing to work at making it a great day!

Yes, I still have a long way to go, but I am on a path to get there.  The weight didn’t come on in a couple of months so it’s ridiculous to think I can lose it in a few months.  I am tired of being depressed and feeling lazy!!!  I am always talking about how i faked or pretended getting motivated in the beginning to start losing weight.  Basically, you just set a mindset and you pretend that you want to go for a walk even if you don’t.  So, you end up going for a walk.  It worked before, so today I am going to fake being motivated and enthusiastic.  I am going to fake feeling great, and by golly, I betcha I end up having a glorious day.  It usually works.  It helped me lose 28 pounds so far, so hopefully, this will help me get back to my happy self!!!

Don’t waist your beautiful day on worry over something that really is probably a good thing!

I know you have been doing some wieghts…. so as long as you are on track with workouts and eating… don’t worry. Keep it up and get out and enjoy the day!

Don’t forget to take your measurements today. Keep a record of them and check them monthly.

    Hey Stacey
No worries. I’m sure it isn’t fat (not 4lbs overnight) and it likely isn’t muscle (sorry!). Experience has shown me that the big fluctuations are typically water… it’ll come off again.
Keep up your good efforts. You don’t have to see results on the scale to know that what you’re doing is good for you and will reap benefits in time.

Stacey, you have a great approach. The stambling blocks are to be expected but stay consistent and perservere. I see so much change in you since last year. Use your wonderful skills Stacey.

I am also happy to see that you are reaching out for support instead of clamming and hiding.

It’s a long process, the weight loss. Hang in there.

The day is exactly what you make it! you are so right! If you have to fake it for a little bit, thats all good because pretty soon that winning attitude sneaks its way in. :)

Good thinking… I always start my mornings out drinking a cup of coffee in silence… Letting my thoughts flow. Motivation is always inside of you, so you dont really fake it… You just give it a little push..
No worries about the 4lbs… Its def. not fat… Its almost impossible to gain that much over night. Most likely water weight…
    Your doing great!!!
